THINGS HAPPENING THIS WEEK:
- Thursday 6/29: Trivia at the Beer Station in Junction City at 6:00pm
- Sunday 7/2: We will be having a watch party at the River Road church to watch the service from the Denominational Conference.
UPDATES/NEW INFORMATION TO BE AWARE OF:
- Sweet Teas is taking a break for the Summer & will resume meetings in October.
- We need everyone to participate in the Christmas in July event. It’s coming up fast! This year the event will be running from 11:30am – 2:00pm so much shorter & easier to deal with than last year. Majority of setup will begin at 10:00, we may ask a few to come earlier to ensure we can get all the decorations ready. The shaved ice truck will be there from noon – 2:00pm. If you still have your T-shirt from last year, please wear it. There are shirts left that weren’t used last year that we can use as well. We may also use some kind of a name tag or lanyard; we need something that everyone will wear to identify us as the church.
- Starting in July, we will start something new in the kitchen. We’ll have 2 people do setup duties & another 2 people do clean up. Before the first of August, we’ll either have a new team to do it for the month or we’ll just have coffee. After we’ve tried this for a few months we can reassess.
- Also starting in July, we’re going to change up how we do Praise & Prayer. After the benediction we’ll have a short break to go grab a snack & then if you want to participate, you can come back into the sanctuary for Praise & Prayer. This break & return method has worked well for the Town Hall meetings so we’re going to try it with Praise & Prayer.
- Tammy will be setting up another “The Oasis” mini-retreat, this session will be open to Men & Women. Date TBD.
