HALLOWEEN EVENT PLANNING (to date):
· Please start bringing donations of Halloween candy for the event.
· Today after service we had our first planning meeting for our Halloween event. Here is the current rundown. Please see Aleck if you have any questions or would like to participate.
o Trunk or Treat will be held from 4:30-6:00 to allow time for people to trick or treat
afterward.
o Grill, tables & the bounce house will be set up in the yard beside the church/in front of the house. Hotdogs, chips & soda will be served. Can we get volunteers to grill & setup the food?
o The Junction City Local Aid office has expressed interest in having a car in the trunk or treat. We will have a food donation barrel on-site during the event for people to drop off donations for them.
o We will block off the north driveway into the parking lot as we did for the Christmas in July event to keep all of the trunk or treat cars & games in that side of the parking lot leaving the full larger lot open for visitors.
o At this point we have 9 vehicles committed. We would love to have at least 12 but
can fit even more. Please let us know if you would like to include your car. Even if you don’t have an idea of how to decorate it, let us know if you can let us “borrow” your car for the event & we’ll take care of the decorations & set up for you!

o Sweet Teas will be starting their weekly meetings again.
o Trivia Team @ The Beer Station. Last week was the first time we participated in this
trivia night & we had a great time. Please join us for a fun evening! We still need to come up with an official team name so put your thinking caps on & come with an idea or two. 😊

· Please set up Amazon Smile to automatically make donations when you shop. There are separate numbers for text to give for each congregation; Eugene is 1-458-209-2209, Salem is 1-971-273-5588. If you need help getting set up with either Amazon Smile or texting donations, please see a member of the advisory team & we would be happy to help you.
· I will continue to add any prayers received on request slips during Sunday service to the prayer wall on our website unless the slip specifically says that it is not to be posted on-line. The prayer wall is available 24/7 for anyone to add a prayer. Although the prayer wall is on Eugene’s website it is also open for Salem members to use! Once at https://gcriverroad.com/ hover over the ANNOUNCEMENTS heading at the top of the screen & then click on Prayer Wall when it appears. Scroll to the bottom of the prayer list to enter your request into the provided fields. The name field is required; however, if you would like to add a request anonymously, you can enter “anonymous” there. You will still have to enter your email address, but it will not be posted anywhere. Once you have filled out the four fields (name, email, prayer request & select to share), click submit to post your request to the wall.
