For anyone in Salem or willing to do a bit of travel, the American Legion of Salem would like to invite everyone to an afternoon movie & chili dogs. Saturday the 26th at 2:00pm to honor veterans. No charge, but donations are accepted/appreciated. |

REMINDER: Outside the Walls event, all hands on deck! |
RECAP OF EUGENE TOWNHALL:
· There will be another work party Sunday 3/27 after service. Will be needing help with painting in the house, cleaning in the church, outside/yard maintenance, etc.
· Easter (4/17):
o We still need egg stuffing (candy, stickers; things small enough to fit in plastic Easter eggs) but we have plenty of eggs. Will need volunteers to help stuff the eggs.
o We will be “delivering” Easter eggs to kids yards the night before/very early morning. If you know anyone in the area with young kids that would appreciate this surprise, let Pastor Linda or Aleck know. We will also need volunteers to make these deliveries.
o Easter morning, we will have a breakfast before service then an event after service; bounce house, a few games, etc. We will need volunteers to help with breakfast & the events after service. We will also be taking note of how things run on Easter to put into practice for the Outside the Walls event this July.
· Upcoming purchases: new sound equipment (snake & drum set), things for kids/youth room
· Discussed & passed out job and passion cards. Please fill out a job card for any duties that you are already doing; custodial, kitchen, leading a connect group, etc. Please fill out a passion card telling us what you are passionate about and how you would like to use that to serve; teach a skill, provide some kind of service, etc. There are still cards available at church so if you didn’t get one on Sunday, please ask
a member of the advisory team next time you’re in & we’ll be happy to grab as many as you need! Once you’ve filled out your cards, please give them to Jen Hanson.

I will continue to add any prayers received on request slips during Sunday service to the prayer wall on our website unless the slip specifically says that it is not to be posted on-line. The prayer wall is available 24/7 for anyone to add a prayer. Although the prayer wall is on Eugene’s website it is also open for Salem members to use! Once at https://gcriverroad.com/ hover over the ANNOUNCEMENTS heading at the top of the screen & then click on Prayer Wall when it appears. Scroll to the bottom of the prayer list to enter your request into the
provided fields. The name field is required; however, if you would like to add a request anonymously, you can enter “anonymous” there. You will still have to enter your email address, but it will not be posted anywhere. Once you have filled out the four fields (name, email, prayer request & select to share), click submit to post your request to the wall.
