Hello everyone.

Please read the entire email, don’t just scan for the schedule! There are a few important notifications about changes in how information is shared and stored.

We would like to start relying on our website, http://www.gcriverroad.com/, as the go-to location for anything that we all need to know.

• Starting with this email, all of our announcements will be saved in blog style format under the “Announcements” drop-down.
• Under “Announcements” is also the “Prayer Wall”. Moving forward, rather than emailing prayer requests to myself or Pastor Linda, please enter your prayers on the Prayer Wall. In order to be notified when a new prayer is added, go to the prayer wall page and click “Get alerts when new prayers post” just above the prayer list. Enter your email address in the field that appears & the click Subscribe. Any prayer requests received via the slips filled out & shared during services will be added to the Prayer Wall by myself or Paster Linda unless the confidential box has been checked or a note was added on the slip not to post it. Prayers won’t be included in these announcement emails after today, so please make sure that you subscribe to the prayer wall! There is an “I prayed for this” button on each prayer which you can click on & it will show a count of how many times that has been clicked. It’s a wonderful way for anyone who enters a brayer to be able to look back and see that others are praying for them.  I will be adding a prayer for Marie Balvins family there.
• There is also a calendar, under “Events”, that I will be populating things into. Connect groups, such as Book Clubs and Bible Studies will be shown on the calendar, but the zoom link will not be shared there; you will still need to emailed link info.
• Links to past sermons are also on the website but will continue to be available on YouTube as well.

We also want to remind anyone who shops on Amazon to link either GCI Eugene or GCI Salem to receive automatic donations based on your purchases via Amazon Smile. Please refer to the attached instruction sheet for how to set this up either in the app on your phone or via their website depending on your preferred shopping method. Please reach out to me with any questions or if you need help.

REMINDER: The service for Enid Landon of the Salem congregation will be this Saturday, October 23^rd, at 1:30pm at the Salem church location (4774 Lilac Ln NE, Salem OR 97395). If you have a piece of jewelry that was made by Enid, it would be wonderful if you could wear it that day in her honor.
